Getting started

For guests

Head to the boats page, pick your dates, and send the owner a booking request. You'll only be charged once the host accepts, usually within 24 hours. After that, you can message your host directly to coordinate handover.

For hosts

There are four steps to going live:

1. Become a host: switch on hosting from the host setup page. Your guest account stays active too.
2. Set up payouts: connect a Stripe account so we can pay you. You don't need an existing Stripe account; we'll create a Stripe Connect Express account for you in about 5 minutes.
3. Upload your credentials: add your Boat Safety Scheme certificate and your hire insurance policy on the boat edit page. Boat licence and skipper qualification are optional but recommended. You won't be able to submit for review without these.
4. List your boat: save a draft, add photos and pricing, then submit for review. Our AI scans your documents for expiry dates and flags anything unusual, then a human admin makes the final call. Most listings are approved within 24 hours.
